I don't know how I get some of that Old Spice lawsuit money, but I might have to look into it. My name is Brandon Thrasher. It's the day of Doe Show. Over there is Chuck Iron Fist. How you doing? 0:32 Speaker 1 It's been a day, Brandon. It's been a long, strenuous day. 0:36 Speaker 3 Yes, it's been long. It's like it's late while we're recording this and chucks always off And you know, that's why I try to hold off my Highness and not like high your Highness, but like my high like got high. I didn't do that as much. So I'm good, but my armpits are on fire. 0:51 But we'll get into that. How is your How's your day going? 0:54 Speaker 1 It's been busy, you know, a lot, a lot of work today. And then I wanted to record with you at 11 and I knew that wasn't gonna happen. I, I, I, I knew it just wasn't a possibility, which is fine. But you know, I'm busy, busy life right now, which is good with work and all that stuff. And, and then, of course, the baseball teams coming along and doing so well. 1:12 Chuck's Rule: Never Be Alone with a Female Player And, and you know, I'm just gonna throw this out there, 'cause I, I've never coached 14 to 18 year old girls. You know, this is this is my first season jumping into that arena. 1:25 Speaker 3 Right, this looks like a hell of a range They they play. You could be 14 facing an 18 year old. 1:29 Speaker 1 Savannah's to 13 facing 18 year olds. Oh damn. 1:33 Speaker 3 That's crazy because there's a lot of changes that go from like 13 year old or 14 year olds, and 16 year olds are a big difference. 1:38 Speaker 1 I know, I know. So, but I did tell, I did tell my lovely wife. We were at the field and you know, again, first time I've ever jumped into this. I've never had to coach older girls, but you know, my team's really, really good and I definitely drafted well. And anyway, so one of the bunch of the girls came up to the park tonight to practice on their own, which I think is great. 1:59 It shows the initiative. And they saw me on the baseball field with the boys. So they're all standing at the fence, you know, And they're like, Coach Chuck, Coach Chuck, right? But it's kind of weird when they're 17. It's just a different vibe. So anyway, after practice, one of them goes, hey, coach, can I talk to you for a second? 2:15 Right. Well, my wife's right there. And I'm thinking, why not? And then what does Megan do? She just walks away, just heads heads to the parking lot. And now, you know, granted, the conversation was it was about working out and it was about do a practice stuff. And then she was talking about she's joining the Navy and a very, very nice girl, very nice girl. 2:34 And it was all very respectful and there was no issues. But I told Megan after like, I'm talking to this girl for a few minutes and I see Megan almost out of eyesight like Megan. And she turns on. She's like, what? I'm like, what are you doing? She's like, I'm taking my chair to the car. I'm like, whoa, I said I got to go. I got to go grab my wife. 2:49 So I ran over and I said, hey, what are we doing here? Like when a 17 year old softball player comes up to me and says, coach, can I talk to you alone? The last thing you let happen. 3:01 Speaker 3 Just talk to him alone. 3:03 Speaker 1 I'm like because. 3:04 Speaker 3 It all goes back to you can't trust women because they'll make some crazy shit up. You know, you, you can't be in a room alone with a woman that is not your wife or you're going to get in trouble. And even if you didn't do anything, they're going to make shit up, you know, because their dad might be pissed off at you for saying something bad about his kid on the podcast. You know what I mean? So. 3:19 Speaker 1 Well, I no, I didn't say anything bad. No, no, no I did not because she is a very, very, very, very good player and she's a very sweet girl. But my thing is, I don't think you can pick and choose like when you're, when you're dealing with girls that are over the age of nowadays, what, 15, I'd say maybe even 14. 3:36 You've got to be very careful about being alone with them because it's not that girl. But it's, it's just you never know when the wrong girl is going to get you alone. And then all of a sudden it's like, what did you guys talk about? Well, he said he wants to, you know, give me his number and he told me to meet him at such and such place. 3:53 And I'm like what? Like that never happened. Now it's my word against her. So I'm just like, dude, you got to be protected at all times nowadays, which is sad. But I'm also like, dude, I'm telling Megan like you're my shadow at this point. I got used my little buddy like you're my little side partner and like you're just everywhere. 4:09 You're witnessing everything. And I'm not texting players. I'm not. I don't do that. I just, I'm keeping myself on it. 4:15 Speaker 3 It's, it's a game playing for a lot of women, though, you know, they're starting younger and younger now just to screw over a guy that's successful and then just get their money and then you're good to go, you know? And then if they found out you were lying, nothing happens to you and you still have all this, you know, everyone's still on your side and no one ever hates you for lying. 4:29 Speaker 1 Yeah, and when they get to that age, like they get so one of the one of the other coaches I coach with, he he's coached 14 to 18 you before and and he's like, he's like, dude, the worst thing that ever happened to me was I had a girl on the team that made it her job to pinch my butt like every chance she got. 4:45 And he said, I was like, look, you've got to stop, you've got to stop. And he said, but some of these girls, they just don't think of it that way. I mean, to them they're like, oh, you're a cool coach. Like we got a good relationship. And it's like, honk, honk, yeah. And then you go to jail, you know? So it's like. 5:00 Speaker 3 She put her finger in my butt, all right. I didn't want it. 5:04 Speaker 1 It's scary. 5:05 Our Headliner Ditched Us for a Saudi Prince It's a different world. But anyway, before you get to your armpits because you're on fire at you, you said I'm about ready to make you even more on fire. 5:14 Speaker 3 Oh God, what happened? 5:18 Speaker 1 This is this is a sad day, Brandon. It's it's sad for me to have to report this news, but I feel like it's my obligation and I did not text Brandon about this because I didn't want to ruin his day. 5:28 Speaker 3 Spell it out. 5:29 Speaker 1 So I already fixed it. So before I tell you what happened, it's fixed. So our headliner for the event that we have coming up next, that's the most I'm giving you people at the venue that I'm not going to say emailed me today. 5:46 Oh. 5:46 Speaker 3 Good or bad e-mail, I'm. 5:47 Speaker 1 Going to read it to you. 5:48 Speaker 3 Oh, OK. 5:51 Speaker 1 Hey Chuck, sorry for the runaround here. It appears the band has been invited as a special guest to play for a certain celebrities concert in Dubai on the same day as your event. 6:09 This is a sentence I'm equally shocked to write, so we have to very respectfully pass, but we appreciate you thinking of us, and if there's anyone else on my roster of interest, let me know. 6:22 Speaker 3 Who the fuck can you guys what in this band? I mean if they want it for the same reason we do, like just just plug your heads and that's it. 6:28 Speaker 1 I'm blown away. So now we can announce it the the headliner we had for the event coming up was going to be Weedus, who sings. I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby. 6:40 Speaker 3 What do you mean was I thought you fixed it. I thought they're still coming. 6:43 Speaker 1 6:43 Speaker 1 No, I found somebody else. 6:44 Speaker 3 Oh, what the? 6:44 Speaker 1 Fuck yeah dude, we I'm sure I'm saying I lost. 6:47 Speaker 3 Dreams to date. 6:50 Speaker 1 I went through a lot of work for this. You want me? 6:52 Speaker 3 To change for the day, God. 6:55 Speaker 1 You're going to make me change the date for this band? 6:58 Speaker 3 We haven't even told anybody about it or anything. So I don't, I mean, I don't know why the date would be a big deal, but I mean. 7:03 Speaker 1 I know I got I got I'll talk to you offline about a couple of the ones that I got on the hook. But dude, that was going to be a good one. We this is a good one. I think everybody would have fun with that teenage dirtbag. Great song. You maybe know a couple others, but. 7:16 Speaker 3 I, I did a video too with the cook in and I told people they're going to be there. I got to stop. I'm I'm not going to tell anybody any information till the day of when we're actually. 7:22 Speaker 1 There Well, I mean, I, why would you, why would you tell me? I didn't have them under contract yet. We, they actually, they had the contract and they signed it. No, they had they had the contract and they needed a signatory and they said who's going to be the signatory? So I contacted the venue and I said, hey, who's the are you? 7:38 Do you want to be the signatory or do you want me to be the signatory? If I'm the signatory, I'm we're charging for tickets and I'm keeping the profit for leukemia. But if you're the signatory, you can keep the profit and not care about cancer. And I'll tell everybody about it. And they have not responded to that e-mail yet. So I don't know if they care about cancer or they don't care about cancer. 7:54 But anyway, now we got some freaking Prince that's taking our band away and they're flying to the Middle East. Doesn't that make you mad? We're losing the band to the Middle East, to a bunch of oil tycoons. 8:08 Speaker 3 I'd rather them go to the damn Middle East and fucking have to deal with another message from that Dick head bowling with soup, that piece of shit. All right, at least this guy had a good excuse. All right? He was going to do it. And then he's like, oh, actually we got to go to Dubai, you know? 8:24 But what you should have said is, I understand. Can we come with you? That'd been great. We'll still pay you. We'll come with you. 8:30 Speaker 1 We're only going to need 10 to 15 extra tickets. We're going to fly some listeners out there to. 8:35 Speaker 3 Go to party? Yeah, I would love to go to Oil Tycoons party in Dubai, see. 8:39 Speaker 1 Now you got, now you got me all worried. 8:39 Speaker 1 Now you got, now you got me all worried. So now what I might have to do because the last two bands that I have on the hook, they're pretty legit. One of them I think is really, really out of our league. But we're still going to try because we we have made that decision. If they both fall through, maybe I just change the date. 8:55 Speaker 3 We get weed. That's probably a good idea. Yeah, I don't. Yeah. That was like all set in stone and everything. We had a plan around that. I don't know. 9:00 and don't go on any roads that end with EAUX, all right? Don't go on any of those or you're going to get fucking murdered or raped or syphilis from a rat that bites you on the fucking ankle. 9:01 Speaker 1 They're so, dude, they're so nice. Like they're so responsive. Like they told me happy Valentine's Day. Like, great guys. Great. 9:08 Speaker 3 Have a good Jack off there, Sir. You're like, if you like, you can send the video and we'll rate it. Yeah. I don't know, looking at it, whatever. Do whatever you think's best, you know, just just whatever, OK? 9:21 Speaker 1 I'm just sad about it. Like it just made me sad today because I was so excited. You guys have no idea. Like Michael Germany's already done up the the the dirt bag, the dirt bag post. 9:30 Speaker 3 Now he's like what the fuck? 9:33 Speaker 1 So anybody that does graphics for the show, IE Michael Germany, I'll let you know when the contract signed because we never know when another Saudi Prince is going to come in and take our band. Like what a weird like what a weird poll, right? Like some Saudi Arabian Prince was like, you know what I want? 9:48 I would like the wheatest, you know, teenage dirtbag, you know, like what? Like why are you taking them? It doesn't make any sense. I. 9:56 Speaker 3 Don't know. They're probably going to have them play that song like five times in a row like we were going to do, but I don't know. 10:00 Speaker 1 Yeah, that was the plan. So Brandon said he want I had, you know what that might have made That might be the real reason they're backing out. 10:00, say, hey, let's go back to the hotel and get in the hot tub. So we go back to the hotel, we get in the hot tub, we're chilling. 10:09 Speaker 3 Why they wanted to sing their number one song Like it more than one time. 10:13 Speaker 1 Well, I sent them an e-mail yesterday after we talked and you said to tell them that we want them to play just teenage Dirtbag for 45 minutes straight. 10:21 Speaker 3 Yeah, that have been awesome. 10:22 Speaker 1 And I said, I don't agree with that. I think that's stupid. But can you guys open with it and close with it? 10:27 Speaker 3 Yeah. Oh, you actually told them we want to do the entire fucking set of teenage dirtbag? 10:31 Speaker 1 I said you did, but I told them. I told them no. 10:34 Speaker 3 Probably shouldn't have said that. What the fuck I? 10:36 Speaker 1 Was. 10:38 Speaker 3 Just. 10:38 Speaker 1 Joking. I thought it was. They thought it was funny, I think. 10:41 Speaker 3 Oh, what were they replying with? Ha ha. 10:44 Speaker 1 No, the next reply was that they're going to do by instead. 10:46 Speaker 3 They're like, hey, fuck these guys, let's go do something else. They don't care about our other music. All right? Well, God, don't mind it. OK, All right, well, we're we're looking for bands and billboard people to buy we. 10:59 Speaker 1 Got dude, we got we got AI have a roster. OK, Do you want me to give you the right? Do you want me to give? 11:00 and it was probably 11:05 Speaker 3 You a no, don't tell me anything until you've got a contract or something. I don't even want to know. Don't even want to know. 11:12 Speaker 1 I don't even know who's, like, who's cat Luna, you know? 11:16 Speaker 3 I don't you're the one looking them. 11:16 Speaker 3 I don't you're the one looking them. What do you mean you don't know you're the one looking for them? 11:19 Speaker 1 No, I got a roster. Look at all these names. It's like 20 names on here. The Woods, Valley Flower. I don't know these bands. I'm like these. I don't want these bands. I want bands and I know, but anyway. 11:29 Speaker 3 What do you think? You had bands for $10,000. 11:34 Speaker 1 Actually, actually that's exactly what I typed. So what I found is what I found is don't do that because you will not get any bands, you know, OK, you have to. You have to reach out to the bands that think there were 30 and all from 10 and they'll take it. 11:51 That's what I that's the trick. 11:52 Speaker 3 And if they if they don't be like, yeah, good luck guys. You guys, you know, suck ass. It's been 25 years since you've done something. 11:58 Speaker 1 Bowling with soup. 11:59 Speaker 3 Yeah, fucking bowling with cocks. Cocks in your ass, you piece of shit. Fuck them soups. I won't ever eat soup. Another day of my life I'll eat chowder. No fucking soup. I do like bowling, but I fuck the soup. I can go without soup. 12:15 Bowling. I do that about once a year, but I do enjoy it when I do. 12:18 Speaker 1 Once I eat, I thought you were going to say you're like in a league or something. You're like, no, I could never, I could never give up bowling. I'm a I'm an avid bowler at least once a year. Yeah, I got. 12:29 Speaker 3 Another 40 sessions in me and I don't want to give it up, but yeah. So all right, well, we're going to have an event at some date sometime, somewhere, someplace with some band playing. I can't tell you anything about it though, because we don't know. 12:43 From Burning Armpits to Ash Wednesday Debates But yeah, no, my, my armpits are burning. They're on fire. I used Old Spice and it's weird. Have you ever had that happen with Old Spice? They're they have a class action lawsuit but I thought they fixed the deodorant but it's still fucking burning. 12:54 Speaker 1 Only the spray. 12:56 Speaker 3 Nope, the regular shit's burning too. 13:01 Speaker 1 I know aerosol aerosol burns me, but if I use the regular just like is it clear or is it white? It's antiperspirant white. Oh, that's gross. Why do you use that? 13:13 Speaker 3 Because I grabbed the wrong fucking one. 13:15 Speaker 1 Yeah, dude, those suck. 13:15 Speaker 1 Yeah, dude, those suck. The white ones. And then they leave white residue all over your armpits. It gets on your black shirts and you look homeless and it won't wash off. It's gross. 13:23 Speaker 3 How the fuck are you getting white? How? How are you getting deodorant on the outside of your fucking shirt? 13:27 Speaker 1 It's it's, well, it's usually when you pull it over your head and it's like when it slides down, it gets on your shirt. So you have like a bunch of marks. Are you? 13:35 Speaker 3 A toddler or something? 13:39 Speaker 1 OK well that's why I wear clear deodorant so it doesn't do that to my shirts. 13:44 Speaker 3 Yeah, I guess I don't know, but the, the, I felt like the, the, the fucking, the gels don't smell as good or stay on, but they burn too. I've had them burn as well, so I don't know what the fuck's going on. But it's only Old Spice and it only does it every now and then. 13:55 Speaker 1 You probably have a skin condition cancer. No, no, you probably have like some type of like rash, like hypodermia. No, like like a like like a bring your heat like a heat rash or something from working. 14:10 Didn't you say you were working in a yard the other day? 14:12 Speaker 3 Yeah, how am I getting heat rash underneath my armpits? 14:15 Speaker 1 Because you're working in a yard and you're sweating and you're moving around, you're chafing because you're a little bit overweight. 14:20 Speaker 3 Yeah, but I didn't do anything today. 14:20 Speaker 3 Yeah, but I didn't do anything today. And actually, no, I, no, I didn't do anything today. And then I put the odor on. Then it started burning. 14:26 Speaker 1 That's why. It's because you're getting fat. Fat people have to deal with that kind. 14:29 Speaker 3 Of stuff I'm down fucking 12 lbs. 14:32 Speaker 1 But you're still probably. 14:33 Speaker 3 Considered obese? How the fuck does that make sense? I'm just now doing it. 14:38 Speaker 1 What do you mean I'm? 14:38 Speaker 3 Just out getting the burns on my arms. 14:40 Speaker 1 Dude, fat works in mysterious ways man. 14:42 Speaker 3 Fuck you, you bald bitch. All right, whatever. 14:49 Speaker 1 You know what? All right, this takes me to my next point, you know, You know what today is right? 14:55 Speaker 3 It's. 14:55 Speaker 1 Wednesday, OK, The 18th OK, you should. How do you not know this? 15:03 Speaker 3 Oh, it's your birthday. 15:05 Speaker 1 15:05 Speaker 1 Are you kidding me? 15:06 Speaker 3 Now your birthday's in March, right? 15:08 Speaker 1 It's Ash Wednesday, Brandon. 15:09 Speaker 3 Oh, 40 days from from Easter. 15:13 Speaker 1 I guess so. Anyway, it's Ash Wednesday, which is also. 15:16 Speaker 3 How do you know what Ash? You know Ash Wednesday, but you don't know what it's for. I. 15:20 Speaker 1 Don't know. I should always know it's Ash Wednesday because people have ash on their forehead. 15:23 Speaker 3 40 days before Easter, OK. 15:25 Speaker 1 Why are you yelling at me? I don't. I'm not. I'm not trying to argue it. I'm just trying to get this. 15:29 Speaker 3 Because you're like, you're like, you don't know what today is. I'm like, no, it's Ash Wednesday, like 4 days before Easter. It's like whatever the fuck that means. I. 15:35 Speaker 1 Don't care why it's Ash Wednesday, I just know it's Ash Wednesday. The whole point is today isn't today. Is it today the last day you have before you give something up for lint? Or was that yesterday? 15:46 Speaker 3 Yeah, that's lint. Yeah. Yeah, Ash Wednesday's lint. 15:49 Speaker 1 You didn't ask my OK, so can I eat? Like, let's say I'm giving something up on for Lent, what am I allowed? Oh my God. 15:57 Speaker 3 On Wednesday, after you get the cross on your head, you cannot eat whatever you're not going to fucking eat. 16:02 Speaker 1 OK, that's what I'm at. So, so once you get the cross on your forehead, you're done for 40 days. So, so my question to you, what are you giving up for Lent? I I didn't, I haven't. I have mine, but what are you giving? Are you really? But you're already that's not even fair because you've been giving it up. 16:18 You got to have something you start today all. 16:20 Speaker 3 Right. Well, I'll drink a beer right now, and then I'll quit again. How about that? 16:23 Speaker 1 See. That's good. That's good. OK, now you're talking. 16:27 Speaker 3 No, I'm doing extra lint. 16:27 Speaker 3 No, I'm doing extra lint. I'm doing extra long lint. So yeah, I'm going to go past lint too. So we'll be all. 16:33 Speaker 1 Right. Is it, is it only a Catholic? Is that only a Catholic thing? 16:35 Speaker 3 Nah, we do it in the Methodist Church too. We have a potluck normally also for ash. 16:40 Speaker 1 Wednesday. 16:41 Speaker 3 Yeah, eat dinner, go get Ash, go home. 16:44 Speaker 1 Do they? Oh, they do. Put the ash on your head, yeah. 16:46 Speaker 3 It's the palms from Palm Sunday. They melt them down, or they burn them and then they rub them on your forehead. 16:51 Speaker 1 I thought that was a Catholic thing. 16:53 Speaker 3 No, it's just the Jesus Christ thing. 16:55 Speaker 1 No, what's not Baptist? Don't do that. 16:57 Speaker 3 Yes they do. 16:58 Speaker 1 No, Brandon, they do not. I promise you. I'm I'm Baptist. 16:58 Speaker 1 No, Brandon, they do not. I promise you. I'm I'm Baptist. They don't. They don't. I've never had an ash on my forehead in my life. 17:03 Speaker 3 Do ash, Yeah, I mean they are more satanic. 17:08 Speaker 1 What are you talking about, Baptist? 17:09 Speaker 3 Churches and individuals do celebrate. I guess it's not a majority thing, but I know Methodist does. 17:15 Speaker 1 Why'd you say so dude? Methodists are way further away from Christ than Baptists. 17:19 Speaker 3 No, we are fucking getting crosses on our head and we're giving up shit for lent for Jesus Christ y'all are doing nothing. 17:24 Speaker 1 No, I don't think because it's all fake, that's why. 17:27 Speaker 3 What's fake? 17:28 Speaker 1 Lent. 17:29 Speaker 3 Oh, you're going to hell. Look. 17:30 Speaker 1 At that, No, You know, I don't think Lent's a thing. Like you, I've never celebrated Lent in my life. 17:34 Speaker 3 Oh my God, what is lint? 17:37 Speaker 1 See, you're here, here Brandon goes narrowing down the path to heaven again. Like essentially, by the time we're going to get to our 300th episode and the only way to get to heaven is be friends with Brandon. Like that's it. It's. 17:48 Speaker 3 A good way to start Lent is a 40 day solemn Christian season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, starting on Ash Wednesday and ending before Easter, observed primarily by Catholics and Angelicans, Lutherans, Methodists and Orthodox Christians, and honors Jesus's 40 days in the desert. 18:07 So we're doing it for our boy Jay Christ. 18:09 Speaker 1 So pretty much Jewish people. 18:12 Speaker 3 Jewish people hate Jesus, so that is not them. 18:14 Speaker 1 You said Orthodox. 18:16 Speaker 3 Yeah, not Jew, Orthodox. Oh. 18:18 Speaker 1 There's another Christian I didn't know that was the thing either. 18:22 Speaker 3 Yeah, not Jewish. I hate Jesus. All right, They they believe me then Hell burning in his own shit you. 18:27 Speaker 1 Know what? You know what's funny is the one thing I will say about Jewish people, because I, I told you I've had friends that were Jewish and they definitely went on a pilgrimage and I definitely made them buy me crosses, which they were really unhappy about is they really do not like Jesus. I know they. 18:42 Speaker 3 Fucking hate him. Which is, which is. 18:45 Speaker 1 I don't know why when you say it, it's so much more like vulgar, like I'm just like, they don't like him and you're like, oh, they want to, you know, they burden whatever they killed it. 18:54 Speaker 3 You're the ones who fucking killed him. 18:55 Speaker 1 I know, but I'm just saying German people don't hate Jewish people. 19:03 Speaker 3 19:03 Speaker 3 What? What's the? 19:04 Speaker 1 Current German people don't hate Jewish people, so for current Jewish people to hate Jesus is stupid. 19:10 Speaker 3 Give it a couple more years and they will be hating them again. Orth Reich. 19:16 Speaker 1 OK, that's not true. 19:18 Speaker 3 Oh, it's, I mean, the whole world right now is anti-Semitism is a very big thing in the world right now because the Jews keep pushing their luck and they hate Jesus and they keep. 19:26 Speaker 1 That is not true. That is not true. God drives me crazy that you do not like the Jewish religion. 19:33 Speaker 3 Because they hate Jesus Christ. As a Christian, I cannot agree with the Jews. 19:37 Speaker 1 You know what, Jesus, God said, Love thy neighbor, OK? You don't love your neighbor Brandon. 19:44 Speaker 3 Yeah. 19:45 Speaker 1 All you can do is pray for him. It's the South. What do you say in the South? 19:48 Speaker 3 There ain't no Jews here. No. What do you? 19:51 Speaker 1 No, that's not a saying. 19:51 Speaker 1 No, that's not a saying. What do you say in the South? Bless your heart, bless your heart. It's all you're an idiot every time That's it's not you just say bless your heart. That's so next time you need to agree next time. Next, but next time you meet a Jewish person, I want you to simply say. 20:07 Speaker 3 Bless your little heart. Bless your hate filled heart. 20:10 Speaker 1 Oh, no, that's not true. OK, what? 20:13 Speaker 3 Do you want to stream me up on a cross? 20:15 Speaker 1 OK, OK, OK. Can we not, can we not offend people today? We're trying to get a billboard. 20:20 Speaker 3 And a band, anybody. These are that. 20:24 Speaker 1 Might that might be why we lost them. Why watch the show? 20:28 Speaker 3 Who? 20:30 Speaker 1 Weedus. 20:31 Speaker 3 No, if anything WEAS is on my side about that 100%. 20:34 Speaker 1 Why do you think that they're from New York? 20:36 Speaker 3 They're a punk band though. 20:37 Speaker 1 Are they? 20:38 Speaker 3 Yeah. 20:39 Speaker 1 Have you heard their music? 20:41 Speaker 3 Yeah, teenage dirtbag baby. What the fuck do you classify that? 20:43 Speaker 1 OK, that's the only punk song they got. That's the. 20:45 Speaker 3 Only song they got. 20:49 Speaker 1 We do love you, Edas, and if we have a show at a different day, we do want you to play it. So we're just kidding. 20:53 Speaker 3 Should we do it after the Saudi print so they can tell us about it and they're not like super excited or I mean, they're not going to be on top. You know, our event today, they're going to go, what the fuck? We were just with Asadi Prince last week. This is terrible. They're going to be in a fucking palace with tigers and bunch of virgins. 21:07 Speaker 1 And shit, yeah, what? What's his name? What's the dude's name that kept stealing our hats? 21:12 Speaker 3 What? 21:13 Speaker 1 The guy that kept stealing our hat at the event, what's his name? Oh, that's Gibbs. Yeah. Josh Gibbs. Josh Gibbs is standing there and he's just like, you know, he's stealing. He's stealing Weedus's hat. And they're all like, God, what's this guy stealing our hats for? You know, and then they're like, God, we wish we were back with that Saudi Prince. 21:30 He he doesn't stealing our hat and having these kids flip us off. 21:33 Speaker 3 Yeah, he gave us a fucking cup of oil to take home too. It was awesome. Great. But yeah. So what are you giving up for lint? 21:43 Speaker 1 Giving up soda. 21:45 Speaker 3 Oh, cool. Yeah. Wait, I thought you just all right, hold on for a second. I thought you just said you didn't celebrate Lint. 21:52 Speaker 1 I don't, but I'm giving it up because I just needed something to give up because I knew you were going to ask me. So I'm giving up lint. I'm giving up soda for. 21:58 Speaker 3 Lint, you brought it up. 22:00 Speaker 1 I know when I knew you were going to say when, when are you giving up? So I had to think about it. And I'm giving up soda. Not because really of lint, because I don't want to keep getting fat. 22:08 Speaker 3 I want to get sugar free soda. 22:11 Speaker 1 I still think you get fat sugar free soda because I don't want my armpits to burn. 22:15 Speaker 3 What about Coke 0 or Diet Coke 0 calories? 22:19 Speaker 1 I don't think that's good for you. 22:21 Speaker 3 It's better than the ones with sugar in them. I'm. 22:23 Speaker 1 Just not going to drink any soda. Jesus, why are you pushing me on this? 22:26 Speaker 3 All right. Well, look, I did it for three months last year too. It's not that bad. It's not that hard. It's it's good. It feels. I mean, I don't really notice any difference from soda, but I don't really drink sugary soda to begin with so I don't know. 22:37 Speaker 1 Do you consider a Red Bull soda? Yes. 22:41 Speaker 3 'Cause it got a lot of sugar in them. A shit ton of sugar. 22:43 Speaker 1 That's a problem. I love Red Bulls, man. 22:46 Speaker 3 Yeah, I think your equivalent would be like 0 calorie energy energy drinks. 22:50 Speaker 1 They have those. 22:51 Speaker 3 Yeah, White monsters or a sugar free Red Bull, which isn't as good. I wouldn't get a Red Bull. Not the greatest. Now if you're going to drink Tobum at the bar with vodka Red Bulls, I would get the sugar free or else your heart's going to explode. 23:01 Speaker 1 And you're. 23:03 Speaker 3 Going to feel like shit in the morning but I digress. I don't drink vodka Red Bulls anymore, so all right, I don't know if there's anything else I needed to bring up. Was there anything else you needed to bring up? 23:15 Speaker 1 No, man, I'm it's been it's been a good I got a busy week and and a busy weekend and I've got my deck is almost done. It's huge. It's a very nice of it. No. Oh. 23:27 Speaker 3 Go take a picture or have a child take a picture. 23:29 Speaker 1 It's it's dark out. I can't get a picture of my deck. 23:32 Speaker 3 You got no fucking lights back there. 23:34 Speaker 1 I don't think you'll be able to see anything. I'll take a picture. I'll have a picture for you tomorrow's episode. 23:38 Speaker 3 Alright, sounds good. Alright, well, if you let's do it on iHeartRadio hot podcast or Spotify, be sure to lose a five star of you and a follow helps out. It really does see y'all doing it every day and the numbers are going up up, up, up, up. So we appreciate it. We got the YouTube channel, go check it out. Hopefully we monetize in the next couple weeks on there. 23:54 We got all the full length episodes. If you want to watch them there and help us out, that'd be great. We got the website dailydoseshow.com. All the information about the show and our merch store is on the site and we've also got the Patreon down below. He's ever paid advertising for the show and for damn that scary hookers, heroin, prostitutes, fans and billboards. 24:12 Melissa keeps getting fucking longer so we appreciate it. 24:15 Ring's Backdown: Are We Living in a Surveillance State? We'll go and get into Daily Dose and dumb news. 24:20 Speaker 2 Your daily dos 24:42 Speaker 3 Ring scraps block partnership following uproar over Super Bowl AI commercial. So we talked about this about a week ago, probably about how Ring was going to be linking all their, all their cameras in the entire world together. So that way if someone went missing or a dog went missing or a child did, or if they want to spy on you, they could access and find you through any Ring camera. 25:04 Now they're saying they're not going to do that because there's such a big fucking uproar about it. What secretly, I think they're still going to do it in the back end because no one reads through all the fucking privacy policies, privacy policy in terms and conditions. So I think it's possible that they're still going to do it or they still have access to it, but I do appreciate a company that responds to feedback. 25:22 It's kind of like when they were going to do that live action Sonic the Hedgehog. I mean, they had a whole company, they put it all together. They they had the movie ready to go. They were showing trailers. Everyone bullied the fuck out of them online and they scrapped the entire fucking movie and then they redid it and it cost them millions of dollars. But they listen to the people. 25:38 So I appreciate ring listening to the people, but do we really think they're going to go by what they say or they're just kind of putting a front on here? Like, all right, well, we're going to keep it for our sake. We thought you guys wanted to use it too, but fuck y'all we're just going to give it to ourselves. 25:51 Speaker 1 Yeah, dude, they're never, ever going to scrap that. So everybody's stupid when they're like, oh, you know what? Because it's, I think their statement was actually that it was going to be way more time consuming and cost, it wasn't going to be very cost effective to do it. So they're scrapping the whole idea. So they never came out and said it's because of the backlash, right? 26:09 They came up with some BS reason while they were doing it. But you know when when Savannah Guthrie's mom got kidnapped? So she has NEST, which I guess NEST is controlled by Google, right? That footage was gone. That thing deletes footage. I think after I think they said like 12 hours. 26:26 This was two days, three days later when they went to get the footage and it was gone. So how did they get the footage if it was deleted? 26:35 Speaker 3 Stored on servers and data centers. It's just in the back end. That's why all these places around everywhere is they're putting data centers and it's using a shit ton of water. I mean if you drove by one, I mean it's just a massive fucking building that's just full of computers and just but it takes a shit ton of water to cool them down and then it dirties the water or something like that. 26:52 But people are not happy about it. But yeah, they definitely got the shit stored. And like I said, we talked about the other day, it was, I mean, they they keep it stored for a while and then eventually it deletes. But the Nancy thing is actually part of my second story. But I don't think ring I I just don't think I kind of thought it was, it might have been a good idea, you know, for a little while, but people are just so scared now of a of a like surveillance state and everybody like watching them. 27:17 And I think they already got into some kind of disagreement with the the left or something over they were given rights to ice or something to look at cameras as well. 27:26 Speaker 1 I mean, I, I, I don't, I don't really care. It's like everybody's all freaked out about Oh my God, ring. I can't believe they would do this. They're working with flock and they're going to be able to track these dogs, which, yes, if you can track it, if you can track a dog, you can track a child. So I don't think it's a terrible thing if used properly. 27:45 And if we don't think that's being used anyway, we're stupid. Like, what do you think that this is the one thing they're not, they're not tapping into. They're tapping into everything. They see everything you do. They're watching your phones. They're all these, dude, you can't go anywhere nowadays without being on a camera at all. 28:01 I mean, everywhere you go, you're on camera somewhere by something. So it is what it is, man. It's the future. We can't, so we can't stop it. We might as well just say, hey, we sacrifice all of our, you know, personal privacy and that's the world we live in. Unless you want to go live in the hills of Montana and live in a log cabin with no power and, you know, crap in an outhouse that's that's the only way. 28:21 They don't have power in Montana. Well, I mean, they do. That's how the Unabomber stayed off the map for so long, because he was living in the mountains of Montana in a little shack with no power. 28:30 Speaker 3 He turned out to be, he turned out to be a good guy, right? 28:30 Speaker 3 He turned out to be, he turned out to be a good guy, right? Oh, Brandon. 28:35 Speaker 1 I you, I, I know you're kidding. There's no way you think the Unabomber's a good guy. 28:39 Speaker 3 I think he he, he just, he, he blew up people that fucked him over, right? Kind of like that guy that took the bulldozer through the town and destroyed the whole fucking Irvin Hemeyer, Hemeyer, Marvin Hemeyer. But. 28:51 Speaker 1 I'm going to go on the record right now seeing the Unabomber was a bad man and he deserved what he got. Who did he target? I believe he targeted Build. It was weird he had like actual targets of like I want it was it was it post offices? Google it. 29:06 Speaker 3 What do you think I'm doing? I thought maybe you knew. 29:08 Speaker 1 Since you're so against the guy, I, I, I, he's, he's a terrible human being. He tried to kill people. 29:14 Speaker 3 Yeah, but did they deserve to die? 29:16 Speaker 1 OK, who deserves to die, Brandon? 29:19 Speaker 3 Well, I'm gonna flip the script on you. Do you think Hitler deserved to die? 29:22 Speaker 1 OK, did he send a oh, did the Unabomber send a letter to Hitler? 29:27 Speaker 3 And send a letter. Oh they sent many letters to them. Not the Unabomber, but I'm pretty sure the US sent them many letters. 29:33 Speaker 1 I'm saying did the Unabomber send a bomb to anyone that was a bad person? 29:39 Speaker 3 I don't know, I'm trying to figure out who he sent it to. 29:42 Speaker 1 And it's not telling you, is it? 29:44 Speaker 3 Which is odd why they would why they would hide the victims of the Unabomber? What's? 29:49 Speaker 1 That odd? 29:51 Speaker 3 Because they were probably terrible people, all right? Hugh Scrutton, I don't know what he did. 29:58 Speaker 1 Sounds like a good man. 29:59 Speaker 3 He was a computer rental store in Sacramento, CA, All right. Clearly this guy's a fucking idiot. Who's retting computers? All right, That's just Thomas Mosser, an advertising executive with Burntson Marstella, killed by a package sent to his New Jersey home. Why the fuck you live in Jersey piece? 30:15 Speaker 1 Of shit. 30:15 Speaker 3 Great man Gilbert Murray not starting off strong. Gilbert, president of the California Forestry Association, killed by a male bomb in Sacramento. OK, now that guy might have deserved to die because I think he was tearing down the woods over there where old homeboy was living. And he's like, look, don't do it. Or am I? I'm getting Ruby Ridge mixed up with you. 30:32 Speaker 1 I think, I think he was defending the wood. 30:32 Speaker 1 I think, I think he was defending the wood. I think if he's with the forestry department, he was actually protecting the woods. 30:39 Speaker 3 Or he might have been agreeing to let get it tore down. 30:42 Speaker 1 Why do you automatically assume that? 30:44 Speaker 3 I, I don't know, I mean, why would you be mad at someone trying to save the woods if you're living in the woods, that's. 30:48 Speaker 1 What I'm saying, because the Unabomber's a bad dude. I don't know why you were arguing about this. He was like, he was a terrible human being. That's why he was put in jail and I want to say for life or he was on death row. Did he get life? What did he get? 31:00 Speaker 3 I'm still fucking trying to figure out about the damn Gilbert Murray. Damn it, who died in it? This shit happened in the 50s? I thought it was later than that. 31:08 Speaker 1 No, it was like the nineties, 80s or 90s that. 31:11 Speaker 3 Happened. Well how the fuck did damn Gilbert Murray die in 1957? This can't be the same guy. I'm so fucking confused. Said he was born in 1866 in Australia and then. 31:24 Speaker 1 He died. That is not the same guy. And he died in the United Kingdom. Brandon the Unabomber wasn't sending bombs to England. 31:34 Speaker 3 31:34 Speaker 3 He did it from 78 to 95. Damn, he had a long run. 31:39 Speaker 1 Because he lived in a little shack in the mountains of Montana. 31:42 Speaker 3 Yeah, OK. Well, the one I'm thinking of is Ruby Ridge also, in addition to the Unabomber, that was the one where the ATF came and killed him from. They were living off the grid also, right? 31:50 Speaker 1 You're not talking about the one in Texas. 31:52 Speaker 3 Waco. That's Waco. No, I'm talking about Ruby Ridge. Ruby Ridge cuz what are? 31:57 Speaker 1 We even talking about how do we even get on this? 32:00 Speaker 3 Because they're both living in the woods, I'm trying to figure out which one switch Ruby Rich was in Idaho. Okay. The Marshalls came to arrest Weaver under a bench warrant. Failure to appear then the the ATF came in and everything and the ATF officers got shot that's where the famous picture of the guy on the OR maybe that's Waco one of the two were the ATFATF officers not and he's getting shot out the window you. 32:24 Speaker 1 Know that's Waco, that was that was David, that was David Koresh and Oh my God, dude, I. 32:30 Speaker 3 Wish they would have got more of them, you know? 32:32 Speaker 1 More of what? 32:33 Speaker 3 ATF I fucking hate the ATF. What? 32:35 Speaker 1 Is wrong with. 32:37 Speaker 3 You ATF is one of the dumbest agencies there are, in addition to like the IRS and the TSA and the EPA. Yeah. I mean, most of the three letter agencies are terrible. Most of them we we could get rid of a lot of them, I think, but I don't know. You like them? 32:54 Speaker 1 Some of them, yeah. I think the FBI has its place. 32:57 Speaker 3 Click ATF. 32:59 Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean the ATF really doesn't mess with too much man. I mean AT FS got a very limited jurisdiction. So it's. 33:05 Speaker 3 Like I was in their jurisdiction and those guys are assholes. Fuck them bastards. 33:09 Speaker 1 ATF, what were they? Were they, were they coming after you for the firearms? 33:13 Speaker 3 Blowing up a hole in the backyard. 33:16 Speaker 1 I guess they have a little bit of a jurisdiction there. 33:18 Speaker 3 I know, fucking bastard. I mean hands down the worst guy was the DNR Dick. That dude shit another 3 letters. Useless agency. Fucking idiot. 33:28 The Nancy Guthrie Case and Hypothetical Kidnapping Rewards Oh, OK, All right. 33:28 The Nancy Guthrie Case and Hypothetical Kidnapping Rewards Oh, OK, All right. Up next, Speaking of Nancy Guthrie, DNA from gloves doesn't match national database or DNA from home or anybody, Sheriff says. It's just I love when they give updates and they're like, we found nothing. That's like when that Malaysian Airline flight went missing for 300 days. 33:45 Every day they come on CNN, but update on Malaysian Airline flight, still no update. There's nothing. The update was there's no fucking update. So I don't know, my God, I. 33:53 Speaker 1 Just what was? What was? 33:57 Speaker 3 That I can't hear a fucking thing. What the fuck did I just? 34:01 Speaker 1 Do yeah, that was pretty awesome. Yeah, I can hear you. That was pretty good. You just knocked everything over and sounded like. 34:07 Speaker 3 Yeah, I don't know. I all right. I hear you now. But yeah, I knocked everything over. Oh God, I lost. 34:13 Speaker 1 My train of thought on that one. You're talking about Guthrie and the gloves did not match anyone. 34:18 Speaker 3 Yeah, and the DNA database, because what I mean, I I thought they had everybody like, aren't when you a baby they take your DNA and put it in this database? No. Oh, they don't. 34:27 Speaker 1 No. Oh, the the only way you're in is if you've been arrested or you you've somehow voluntarily put yourself in the database. 34:34 Speaker 3 Yeah, but I so when I got arrested, they did my fingerprints, but I don't remember doing like my DNA. 34:39 Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't think they did do your DNAI mean, I think the DNA that's a, that's a special, that's something different because I know the database is very limited. Like even when I was working full time, we're doing investigations you'd put, you'd send off for DNA. You never got a hit on DNA. 34:51 Speaker 3 That's like, well, it's not one of the 20 people in the system we have, so. 34:54 Speaker 1 Exactly, Yeah, I mean, there's it's very limited. But I mean, I think they do use military records obviously. I think now they're using 23andMe and all that stuff for DNA. So don't give up your DNA that way if you do something like this, you're good. Because allegedly I have not heard this. 35:10 This is this is what I've been reading, but I still have not seen the quote. The sheriff actually said we may never find her. 35:21 Speaker 3 Yeah, I mean, that's pretty, you know, reasonable. That's usually after 48 hours, the chance of finding someone goes down like to 30% and then every day after that you lose like 10%. 35:30 Speaker 1 What, are you trying to get the entire family to kill themselves? Like, why? Why would you even say that? Like everybody knows if you have a missing persons and you're dealing with the family, what do you do? Hey, we're going to find them. We're going to find them. We're going to find them. You got to give them hope. You've got to keep them going. Now, I also will say this, I just saw the FBI raised the reward amount for information regarding this lady's disappearance. 35:54 Do you know where it's at now, Brandon? 35:56 Speaker 3 500,000. 35:57 Speaker 1 $100,000 Oh yeah, you're. 36:00 Speaker 3 Going to need some more for someone to rat on. Somebody come on now. 36:03 Speaker 1 I'm just saying if I ever go, if I ever go missing, OK. And you have any communication with Megan or any of the powers that be, The reward for my safe return, for safe, my safe return needs to be no less than $10 million. 36:22 Speaker 3 Oh my God, where we going to get that money? 36:24 Speaker 1 Time out 10 million. The reason I say that is this would you turn in August for $10 million? 36:35 Speaker 3 For what? 36:36 Speaker 1 Kidnapping. 36:38 Speaker 3 Oh well, problem is the government is fucking lying to you so they're never going to give you that money, so no. What? 36:45 Speaker 1 OK, if you were not giving. 36:47 Speaker 3 You the money, the the the federal government is not. They're allowed to lie to you. So they're lying to you when they say there's a reward because you're not getting shit for the reward. If you give them information, they're going to be like, Oh yeah, we used it, but they didn't really help us, you know, no reward for you. It's like a casino but on a national level, and they're Dicks. 37:01 Speaker 1 Well, if you live with August and she was kidnapped and you knew about this for more than 24 hours and then you reported it for the $10 million reward, they're going to charge you with aiding and abetting. So you're actually going to get arrested? 37:13 Speaker 3 I'm not going to say anything then wait till Manny gets there. 37:15 Speaker 1 Well, don't say I don't want two people to think of that. So what I'm saying is, as soon as you see it, you should report it now. 37:22 Speaker 3 How do I know it's a kidnapping though? What have you just taken her like to go hang out for like 12 hours? 37:27 Speaker 1 All right, if you have a lady sitting in your living room chained to a chair and you see her on the news, Brandon, you probably know it's a kidnapping. 37:35 Speaker 3 Yeah. But is it really my business? 37:37 Speaker 1 OK. That's why you offer 10 million, because for 10 million you're going to make it your business. But for 50K, you're probably just going to be like, I think August is probably with some old chick that's into this, you know what I mean? So. 37:49 Speaker 3 She's been sitting there for a. 37:50 Speaker 1 While it's just crazy to me. And then you got the Guthrie family, which again, we looked at this Savannah Guthrie's worth $40 million. Well, how are you not immediately coming out going, hey, I will give a $40 million reward for my mother return, right? 38:06 Really. Absolutely. Wait, dude, So you're telling me, you're telling me right now that if I was kidnapped, they don't? 38:14 Speaker 3 They don't want money, though. These people don't want money, clearly. 38:16 Speaker 1 If I was kidnapped, if I was kidnapped and you had $40 million, you made it, right? You made it. You're this big podcast star and you're worth, you're worth $40 million and I'm kidnapped. How much are you going to offer for my safe return? 38:32 Speaker 3 I'm going to go based on whatever Google says my net worth is because it's always real low, you know what I'm saying? So I'm just going to pretend I'd do like 5 million. 38:41 Speaker 1 If you're worth $40 million, you'd get 5 million. 38:43 Speaker 3 Well, I got to negotiate, we got to have some money to hang out with afterwards. 38:46 Speaker 1 I'm going to die, Brandon. Why would you? 38:48 Speaker 3 Die you're I'm giving $5,000,000. They're going to love that. 38:51 Speaker 1 The longer I'm in captivity, the more of a chance I have of getting raped or murdered. OK, and you're going to offer 5 million when you're worth 40. They know how much you're worth. You have to offer 40. 39:02 Speaker 3 How they going to know how much I'm worth unless they look it up on Google? 39:05 Speaker 1 You don't think they have Google? 39:05 Speaker 1 You don't think they have Google? Yeah, Google's always low. Google's low. That's the first thing they're going to do is Google. I can't believe you're only going to get $5,000,000 for my safe return. Dude, that's. 39:14 Speaker 3 A lot of money. That's a lot of money. 39:16 Speaker 1 OK, but if you have 40. 39:18 Speaker 3 Why would I give them 40? If I can get you out for five, then Chuck's going to be like, hey, you know those guys are talking. They said they would have done it for two, but you gave them 40. Holy shit, man, you motherfucker. They're like, there's only two of them. Also they didn't speak English so 2,000,000 would have lasted them their entire life. 39:35 Speaker 1 We will get your money back. I'm just saying you got to go big or stay home, submit a country. Of course, after you Get Me Out, then we'll get geared up and we'll go get it back. 39:44 Speaker 3 Oh, Oh yeah, I just get a loan out then. Yeah, that's fine. 39:47 Speaker 1 You. Either way, if this ever happened to me, I'd be pissed when she finally gets released because I believe she's going to be released. I believe she's going to make it home safe. I have faith, OK? I believe that everything's going to work out here. She's going to be pissed when she finds out that there was a $50,000 reward for that long and she's probably been chained to a bed or something laying there. 40:08 Any day now. I'll be out and you're offering 50K? What's 50,000 nowadays? I mean that won't even pay my bills. It's. 40:16 Speaker 3 Stupid. She could probably hire an assassin to kill those guys. 40:19 Speaker 1 That's that's what I'm saying. See that's now now you're thinking like if I get kidnapped 20 million offer the reward use the other 20 million to hire some killers, some stone stone cold killers. Dude I'm talking or ex Blackwater guys that are going to go in take 0 prisoners and murder them all severe like hard like in front of me like I want to see him then tortured right? 40:42 That's how you spend the money. Now you're talking. 40:44 Speaker 3 What if they're all bald? They get you mixed up. 40:47 Speaker 1 And they kill me too. Yeah, that would suck. That would suck. See. So you might have to like, take it, take Michael Germany's got some current photos of me. Make sure they got those. 40:56 Speaker 3 He's the bald guy. But throw them all. We don't know what to do. Like cut them all. But Nah, wait, never. Like we're keeping your money too. But what the fuck? You killed everybody. What's up? Well yeah, they said they found the glove 2 miles away from the home, so it was probably some random dude that fell off the back of his truck. 41:15 Speaker 1 And then I was thinking. 41:17 Speaker 3 To say you find a pair of gloves, then you're like, Oh my God, this had to be the killers. Let's check it and see with our big database of all the DNA. Nobody. So I don't know, it's a bunch of idiots. I mean, God, nobody. And so I said she's 84 years old, you know, I mean, she's she's probably napping a good bit. 41:35 I don't know if I don't know if they masturbate at that time or that age or not, but I mean she got to be doing something right past the time. 41:42 Speaker 1 Please don't ever say that again. 41:44 Speaker 3 What? 41:45 Speaker 1 That she's she's doing that don't that that's disrespectful. 41:48 Speaker 3 Why is that disrespectful? 41:49 Speaker 1 Are you kidding me? She's going through this traumatic event and you're saying that? 41:53 Speaker 3 She could be, I don't know. What else are you going to do in past time? 41:56 Speaker 1 What would you if you were kidnapped? 41:56 Speaker 1 What would you if you were kidnapped? Would you do that Are. 42:00 Speaker 3 They giving me porn or not? 42:02 Speaker 1 No, you're just changing a. 42:04 Speaker 3 Room all alone. I'm just looking at the wall. I mean, yeah, you get bored after a while. I mean, I want you to get in there 14 days. 42:11 Speaker 1 Yeah. 42:11 Speaker 3 Yeah, I mean, or she could be like living it up somewhere nice, you know what I mean? 42:15 Speaker 1 They're going to, you're going to get kidnapped, you're going to get kidnapped and they're going to reach back out to your family. Like, look, we asked for 3,000,000. We'll take 300,000 because he will not stop masturbating. It's all over the place. It's really becoming a distraction. 42:31 Brandon's enjoying this way too much now. You can't hit me again. 42:36 Speaker 3 But he blasts Gabriel every time he walks in. Poor guy. It was like a brothel. All right, well, that's your news for the day. Ring backs down, but they're still going to have it in the back end. And Nancy Grether is still missing. 42:52 And a pair of random gloves that matches. No one is the latest update. 42:52 And a pair of random gloves that matches. No one is the latest update. Good job, guys. 42:57 Chuck's Wild Mardi Gras Experience in New Orleans Good job. All right, we're going to get into what the Chuck. What the Chuck. Yeah. You want to Chuck me? Chuck it real hard. 43:06 Speaker 1 Chuck me, Chuck me. Chuck me. Chuck me. 43:08 Speaker 3 I'm full of Chuck. Oh Chuck, Chuck it real good. What the Chuck DJ in vision? 43:18 Speaker 1 All right then. So with Ash Wednesday being today, you know what? I think it also starts today or starts tomorrow. You know what it is? 43:26 Speaker 3 40 days till Easter. 43:27 Speaker 1 OK, but what's going on right now? 43:31 Speaker 3 Lint. 43:32 Speaker 1 Dude, it's a pretty big deal. Brandon, you should know this. 43:35 Speaker 3 Is it religious wise? 43:37 Speaker 1 It involves breasts. 43:43 Speaker 3 Involves breasts. Baby Month. 43:47 Speaker 1 Are you kidding me? 43:48 Speaker 3 Oh I know it's not Breast cancer awareness month. That's October. You're so stupid. What? 43:55 Speaker 1 How do you not know this? You know. 43:56 Speaker 3 What is it? 43:57 Speaker 1 It's one of the biggest parties ever in the world. 43:59 Speaker 3 Mardi Gras there. 44:00 Speaker 1 You go, Mardi Gras is kicking off and what's? 44:03 Speaker 3 Mardi Gras. 44:04 Speaker 1 I think Mardi Gras starts tomorrow. 44:06 Speaker 3 Yeah, that's another. Is that that's another made of American holiday, right? 44:11 Speaker 1 Is it? I don't think so. I don't. 44:12 Speaker 3 Think the Mexicans celebrate that? 44:14 Speaker 1 44:14 Speaker 1 Well, let me I'm actually, I got all the facts right here because I have some very interesting facts about Mardi Gras for you. And I got to tell you a story because I've done so. I've done one Mardi Gras in my life. What? 44:22 Speaker 3 Does that mean? 44:24 Speaker 1 I went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, OH. 44:26 Speaker 3 That sounds terrible. 44:27 Speaker 1 One time, one time, right? And I'll tell you it, it, it's bad, but it really comes down to the company you keep and, and how you do it. So if anybody's ever thinking about going to Mardi Gras, especially this one, and you're like, you know what, It'd be a great idea to get on a plane and fly to New Orleans and enjoy Mardi Gras. 44:45 I'm going to tell you this much. We were living in Fort Walton Beach, FL and Megan's sister flew in from Pennsylvania and her, she brought her friend. So it was me, Megan's sister, her friend Lauren and Megan. And they said hey, we're going to get up early. 45:01 We're going to make the four hour drive or whatever it is. We got a hotel right downtown New Orleans. This is going to be epic the whole way, man. The girls are doing their makeup, they got their wigs on, they got all these beads, you know, like that. We're all just ready to just have a great time. 45:17 We get there and about 10 minutes after we got there, I realized I made a massive mistake. OK. It was unbelievable how many people packed into that city and I somehow was volunteered to keep track of these three young ladies and make sure that they all came back to life. 45:38 It was one of the worst experiences of my life, right? So we, we spend the whole day just, they were drinking. I'm, I'm staying sober because I'm like, they're going to get murdered, right? And they're just going hard. They're doing their thing, bouncing bar to bar to bar, taking part in the festivities. 45:54 I told you the story about when Lindsay and her friend went upstairs at the bar and I couldn't find them. And I walked up there and they were flashing for beads. I'm like, really like the one rule I had was don't do that. I mean, there's too many cell phone cameras that's always going to be out there. But they didn't listen. So we spend the whole day, dude. 46:09 And I, I'm like, I have like, I'm the greatest, you know, brother-in-law, greatest husband alive. I've watched these three girls. I kept them alive. So about 46:25 I'm like, dude, this is great man. Like this, We made it. We survived Mardi Gras, we're done. We're going back tomorrow. So I go upstairs and I go to sleep. As soon as I fell asleep, Lindsay and her friend Lauren snuck out. 46:38 Speaker 3 Like fucking kids on a. 46:39 Speaker 1 Parent trip and they went right back downtown. So I woke up the next day and I found out about it because these guys that were in the hot tub, I guess they talked him into going and I'm like, God, dude, like you guys could have got murdered. It's just if you ever go to Mardi Gras, all I can say is it's one of the filthiest parties you've ever been to. 46:57 Like you literally are walking urine right everywhere. 47:01 Speaker 3 The city itself is shit year round and then you bring a bunch of people there, they can't handle the infrastructure that's already there and it's it's even worse. I had a buddy, a group of them, they went on a cruise. They were leaving out of New Orleans. They got there the day before 1 dude spent $10,000 at a strip club. The other one, the other two got roofied and like got all their money stolen, all their bank account information stolen, lost all their money before they had to go on a cruise. 47:24 So it's pretty bad. It's a very sketchy area. It's like, it's like downtown Atlanta if they were to decide to have a party there, but they're. 47:32 Speaker 1 That's not, that's not a bad way to put it. I will say because we, we, we spend a lot of time in New Orleans. Like we'd go to New Orleans like every other weekend there for a while. We really love New Orleans, especially when there's not, when there's not Mardi Gras happening. And that's actually New Orleans is where Megan went to her first strip club. And when we were in there, I realized very quickly as. 47:49 Speaker 3 A worker. 47:50 Speaker 1 As a patron. And I realized very quickly, like this was a mistake because Megan spent the entire hour we were in there trying to talk to strippers into leaving the business and giving their life together. And she actually, she's exchanging numbers with the girl as she's like, the girl's dancing in front of Megan and Megan's giving her dollar bills and she's like, hey, let me give you my number. 48:11 Like you can get out of this life, right? And the lady? 48:14 Speaker 3 48:14 Speaker 3 Is trafficked or something? 48:15 Speaker 1 And the girl's just like dancing. And she's like, Oh my gosh, you're so sweet. And Megan's like, take my number. And ladies, like I put my number in your phone, you know, blah, blah, blah. So Megan's like, what's your number? And she's like 85-O. And she's giving Megan her number. And then we leave. Megan texts all these strippers. 48:30 Guess how many responded? None. Captain Savio did not work that night, right? Like she failed. But she was like, they all want out. I'm like, they don't want out. You know how much money they're freaking Megan. They just made 20 bucks off a 10 minute conversation with you like. 48:43 Speaker 3 You got to touch them. That was easy for them. It's. 48:45 Speaker 1 Crazy. So anyway, So what I want to ask you, Brandon, I got some facts here. These are crazy facts, some things that you might not know about Mardi Gras, and I'm very intrigued by this first one. So do you know what state actually held or celebrated the first Mardi Gras in the United States? 49:06 Speaker 3 Texas. 49:07 Speaker 1 Close. So French Canadian explorer Pierre Lemon of de Bourville arrived in what is now modern day Mobile, AL. So on Fat Tuesday 1699, he named the location Point du Mardi Gras and threw a little party. 49:24 And the years that followed, French travelers would come to the spot explicitly for Fat Tuesday, which I'm guessing yesterday was Fat Tuesday, Correct. 49:33 Speaker 3 Yeah, I don't know. I guess you just eat a bunch that day. I don't know. 49:35 Speaker 1 I guess 'cause you're giving stuff up for Lent. So to this day, Mobile AL claims to hold the oldest Mardi Gras celebration in the country, which started in 1699. Isn't that crazy? 49:47 Speaker 3 Yeah, I mean, I still don't know what the like what? Why do we celebrate it nowadays? Is it just another reason for Americans to party? 49:52 Speaker 1 I think so, yeah. So the next one, this is crazy too, 'cause the beads, so all the beads that you wear and you throw at Mardi Gras, they're very traditional. I think you have those all over the place. This is the first year you're going to love this. What did Mardi Gras change with the beads that they normally throw? 50:09 That is going into effect this year. 50:12 Speaker 3 They put weed in them. 50:14 Speaker 1 They are now biodegradable. 50:16 Speaker 3 Oh, what the hell, gay. 50:17 Speaker 1 Isn't it? That's what I said. Freaking paper straws, man. It drives me crazy. So now the beads aren't even real, but the traditional colors of Mardi Gras. Can you tell me the three traditional colors of Mardi Gras? Green. Yellow. 50:31 Speaker 3 Purple. 50:33 Speaker 1 Dude, purple, green and gold. I'm going to give that to you. 50:37 Speaker 3 Oh yeah, yellow gold, about the same. 50:39 Speaker 1 Really, really good. OK, next have you ever heard of a king cake? 50:45 Speaker 3 I was just about to say that's the only reason I know the colors because I saw someone on my story get it and I don't know if he lives in Texas but I don't know. It looks like a birthday cake. 50:53 Speaker 1 Yeah, it looks like, it looks like a birthday cake like that right there, right. And it is a traditional, a traditional dessert that has biblical roots. The story of these glazed and frosted patriot days, back to the medieval times when French, Belgian and Spanish cultures commemorated the 12th day of Christmas with gifts and sweets. 51:11 Biblically, the kings during the time would have been visiting the newborn baby Jesus, bringing gifts and sweets of their own. That's where the King and King cake comes from. 51:20 Speaker 3 So what do they even have to do with Mardi Gras? 51:23 Speaker 1 To celebrate Mardi Gras, I don't know. 51:23 Speaker 1 To celebrate Mardi Gras, I don't know. They celebrate it in like freaking December. Apparently, like everything kicks off after Christmas. It's it's actually goes back to like religion, a lot of religion. That's why you got Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday. It's very religious. And it's crazy to me because it's one of the biggest debauchery parties in the world. 51:40 Speaker 3 Yeah, yeah, man, it's usually how parties go. 51:43 Speaker 1 Yeah, all right. Last one, Mardi Gras, became a celebration we know today because of a secret society. All right, maybe hold on. So since its first impromptu celebrations in the early 1700s, Mardi Gras was regularly cancelled or banned for destructive drunken parties. 52:02 Makes sense. That is, until 1837, when a secret society known as the Mystique Crew of Comas aim to elevate the chaotic experience, replacing the debauchery with lavish bulls and parades. Eventually, it became Fat Tuesday celebrations of New Orleans. 52:19 So yeah. So the Mardi Gras kicked off yesterday, and now it's happening forever. How long it happens happens. But I will tell you now that I've been to Mardi Gras, the worst time you can go to New Orleans. Do you want to tell me when that is? 52:35 Speaker 3 Day after it ends? No, The day before it ends. 52:41 Speaker 1 For you and me, the worst time to go to New Orleans is during the Essence Festival. 52:46 Speaker 3 Oh, was that a lot of black people? 52:48 Speaker 1 It is, that's all it is. 52:48 Speaker 1 It is, that's all it is. So it's it's a festival that celebrates the black heritage and there's like a big award ceremony and, you know, you got Alicia Keys singing and you got a dude. That was the worst experience. I'm like, now, granted, the people were great. I mean, I was like, you know, went, I went back in like 2005. 53:05 Speaker 3 On a rainy day. 53:06 Speaker 1 Yes. And I didn't know wait. 53:09 Speaker 3 2005 with Katrina, were you there before or after? 53:11 Speaker 1 Sorry, no, it'd have been 2006 or 2007 then because I was there. I was there when Katrina, because, because Katrina was hitting. And I when I was living in Panama City Beach and I had had my BMW, I'd gotten ABMW and I lived in England and I had it shipped over and it got shipped into the New Orleans port. 53:29 Speaker 3 Was it right hand drive? 53:30 Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, I got it. I got it right from the factory in Germany. 53:33 Speaker 3 So it was German style. 53:35 Speaker 1 Yes, it was right from the factory, everything. It was great. I lost that in my second divorce. But but anyway, but no. So it was there and they called me and they said, hey, your car's here. And I saw Katrina, you know, Katrina was kicking off in the Gulf. And I'm like, do I go get it? 53:52 Because I was worried about getting it, driving it back and then it getting destroyed in Panama City Beach. So I was like, maybe I just leave it in New Orleans that way nothing happens to it, right? I, I ended up going and getting it. 54:08 I, I got it, drove it back. And then I was like, OK, I got to leave Panama City Beach if this thing doesn't move because it was coming right at every all the little things had it hit in Panama City Beach. I mean, we're, I'm, I'm packed up, I'm ready to leave. So I'm like, oh, this is going to be bad. And then we all know how that ended, where it tailed left. 54:26 I destroyed New Orleans, and the place where my car was at was under like 12 feet of water. So you know me, I'm over here. Like, dude, it's meant to be like, you know, I'm like, this is God himself saying, you know, Chuck's car has to be protected. 54:40 Speaker 3 He's got to keep this BMW. You can't. 54:42 Speaker 1 Sell it and then I go into divorce court, you know, and the judge was like, she gets the BMW and then I realized God wasn't protecting it from me. He's protecting it from my ex-wife. 54:53 Speaker 3 So she prayed a little harder, I guess. 54:55 Speaker 1 I know. So I got stuck with the freaking Toyota Yaris. Megan almost didn't date me because of it. I look like, dude, she thought I was gay. I mean, I'm driving up and up, dude. This thing was worse than a mini car. I had to drive that thing for years because I had no money because I lost it all. And I was like, dude, this sucks. 55:11 Ranking America's Worst Cities and the Impact of Gentrification So anyway, but yeah, dude, New Orleans, great city. Highly recommend it, but just don't go during Margarita or Margarita Mardi Gras or the Essence Festival and you'll be fine. Because I've been wanting to go down there for a Falcons New Orleans game. 55:25 Speaker 3 Oh yeah, I don't know about that. I mean, the city's still pretty rough though, isn't it? Yes. 55:31 Speaker 1 It's really rough. It's one of the roughest cities I've ever been to and. 55:34 Speaker 3 It's great. Go down there now, you might get stabbed after, you know, 55:49 Speaker 1 You have to know where to go. Like you have stay in the touristy area, the French Quarter, maybe down to Bourbon Street, but you got to leave Bourbon Street at like 11 because it gets a little crazy. I, I, I just, it's a good city, man. It's just like any like, what do you think is the worst city in the United States? 56:04 Have you had without all the political stuff? Leave the political stuff out of it, OK? We're not talking about any of the crap that's happening in Minneapolis. We're not talking about stuff that's going on in New York City. What do you think is unanimously the worst city in the United States? I have it in my brain right now. 56:20 What do you think it is? 56:22 Speaker 3 Well, the worst would probably. It's not the top of my head. 56:22 Speaker 3 Well, the worst would probably. It's not the top of my head. Las Vegas, Shitty, smelly, hot, debauchery, sadness, people killing themselves left and right. You got and then you got like Chicago, you know, it's cold. 56:38 You getting shot every day, that's not fun. But anything is Somewhere like New Orleans, where it's South, muggy, a lot of pores, a lot of problems, drugs, violence. 56:55 I'm saying one of those 3 New Orleans, Chicago or Las Vegas. 56:59 Speaker 1 You don't think Memphis is one of them? 57:01 Speaker 3 Yeah, Memphis is pretty bad. I mean, except for, you know, I guess Elvis had his little stakehold there. You know, he's, he's keeping out all the hoodlums and whatnot, the Y NS. 57:11 Speaker 1 Elvis is dead. 57:13 Speaker 3 It doesn't have like Graceland there or something. 57:15 Speaker 1 Yeah, but it's like what, one block I? 57:17 Speaker 3 Mean. I've never been there. I thought it was like a whole compound. I thought it was like acreage and shit. 57:21 Speaker 1 I mean, I guess it's OK. So maybe it's a little bigger than that, but it's still only a little piece of Memphis, because I know Memphis is bad and I've also heard that Jackson, Ms. is really bad. 57:29 Speaker 3 Oh yeah, they're like a they transport drugs like crazy back and forth to each other. 57:33 Speaker 1 And you got it. So Jackson when I, I don't know if this is still true in 2014 when I was traveling for work and I go to Jackson a lot, Jackson had the highest vehicle thefts in the United States. And it's not that big of a city, but it was, it got to the point where they knew, like if you went into a restaurant, they would tell you like, hey, where'd you park? 57:53 And you'd be like, oh, I parked right here. They'd be like, OK, sit in that booth. So they'd put you in a booth so you could watch your car while you're eating because so many cars were getting stolen in Jackson, Ms. It's a crap hole. 58:05 Speaker 3 Yeah, it says yeah. Memphis, Detroit, Saint Louis and Baltimore are the top 4 worst cities. Memphis, 2500 violent crimes per thousand people got to like you got a 2.5% chance of being part of a violent crime. 58:21 That means you live or you go 100 days every three months, 2 1/2 of those days you're getting shot at, robbed, stabbed, fucking something bad's happening, which is fucking insane. But I don't know, I mean, I think, I think the problem is all the people that you get these shitty cities, all the people that have the resources and money to leave are also the same people that have the money and resources to make the city better. 58:44 But instead they're like, yeah, fuck this, I'm leaving. And then you just have a cesspool of just poor, uneducated gang violence. And it just becomes a cesspool and it just collapses on its own because there's no one there to say, hey, maybe we shouldn't do this because everyone's poor, everyone's broke. Money makes the world go round. 58:59 If you ain't got money in a city, it's going to collapse and turn to crime. 59:02 Speaker 1 Yeah, I think so. Where's Atlanta on that list? Let. 59:05 Speaker 3 Me, look at this. 59:06 Speaker 1 I'm going to say Atlanta, you got, you said, the top 4. Detroit, Memphis, Baltimore. And what was it, Jackson? 59:14 Speaker 3 The Five in order Memphis, Detroit, St. Louis, Baltimore, Oakland and New Orleans. 59:21 Speaker 1 Oh, New Orleans made that list, so Atlanta didn't even crack the top five. 59:25 Speaker 3 No, I mean, we've been cleaning people up. I guess we've been arresting a lot more folks. 59:28 Speaker 1 Well, that's because they don't care about them, especially the homeless population. Yeah, the. 59:32 Speaker 3 Homeless ain't it. They're not doing that many violent crimes because they're all malnourished. 59:38 Speaker 1 So the worst real quick, I just want to make sure, are we only doing violence or are you just doing the worst cities? 59:43 Speaker 3 I just did violent crimes. 59:45 Speaker 1 All right, so here we go, the top ten. Wow, dude, how did Kansas City beat us? Oh my God. Top 10. Here we go. In order. Well, I got the same ones. You have Memphis, Oakland, St. Louis, Baltimore, Detroit, Alexandria, LA and New Orleans. 1:00:03 Monroe, LA God, Louisiana's a lot way below Colorado. Anniston, AL Little Rock, Myrtle Beach to cop to Compton, Birmingham, Atlantic City, Camden. Dude, I can't even. Are you kidding me? Springfield, MO Albuquerque, Kansas City, Louisville, Canton, OH Dayton, Milwaukee, Minneapolis. 1:00:24 Dude. Atlanta didn't craft the top 25. 1:00:27 Speaker 3 Yeah, we're, we're doing better. We're getting better. 1:00:31 Speaker 1 Good for us. 1:00:32 Speaker 3 Yeah, it's, it's like a, it's like a zombie defense, you know, like you keep them all in the middle and there used, there used to be like little, little breaks in the wall where they could, they would squeeze through and they'd go into a different area. We've cut those areas off now and then They're, they're, they had little pods, you know, we came in from the back and cut them off and then we just depleted them from the outside that I mean, that's what gentrification is. 1:00:54 Speaker 1 I don't, I don't know why, when when you explain it, it sounds so racist. You know what I mean? Like you could say that in a way that politically it sounds good, but when you explain it, it just makes me feel dirty. 1:01:04 Speaker 3 It's just the truth, you know, like you can't stop feeling bad because I mean, it's just, it's just truth and facts, you know? I mean, that's just how it happens. You got to gentrify an area because it's shit. And then once you make it better, the shit people can't afford to live there. So then you, you have better people move in. You know, they can be white or black, you know, as long as they got money. 1:01:22 Speaker 1 I will say I've got a lot more clients that are calling me and I see the address and I'm like, oh God, right. And I get there and it's like this really nice gay couple. I'm like, what are you doing here? And they're like, Oh my God, we love this area. It's so trendy. 1:01:38 Yeah. 1:01:38 Speaker 3 1:01:38 Speaker 3 They send the gays in first, the gays in fade one, and then you got the older whiter people or the older black people that don't want to deal with none of that nonsense bullshit. After the gays sweep through and clear it out, they probably attack this hike on them. They get the fuck out. They go, you know, something political pisses them off and they're going to Oregon. 1:01:56 And then the other, the other people come swoop those houses up. But by then the whole area is nice. You know, you don't have to worry about someone shitting on the sidewalk or crack side. They always. 1:02:06 Speaker 1 They always tell you it's trendy. It's so trendy. 1:02:08 Speaker 3 Yeah, be like, all right, well, you keep fixing the trendy for the next 5 years when you're out, all right? So that's how it goes, though. That's how it goes. So gentrification is a good thing I'd say, right? 1:02:21 Speaker 1 No, I think that's terrible. I think we should all. 1:02:24 Speaker 3 Be Oh, you like the hoods? 1:02:26 Speaker 1 We are all equal, man. 1:02:28 Speaker 3 Not on a monetary level. When you go and buy a house on a financial level, maybe. 1:02:34 Speaker 1 If you take credit scores out of it, man, we're all equal, dude, we're all equal. 1:02:39 Speaker 3 Oh, Chuck said it, not me. He made a racist. 1:02:41 Speaker 1 1:02:41 Speaker 1 No, I did not. I wasn't talking about racist. You said you're talking about poor people. 1:02:45 Final Thoughts and Show Announcements You know what? Just close out the show. I'm not going to say anything else. So you're. 1:02:48 Speaker 3 Saying poor people aren't trustworthy.
